MPC Finishes 4th Overall at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour
MPC has delivered a standout performance at the Bathurst 12 Hour, finishing an impressive 4th overall after 12 demanding hours at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit.
Competing against one of the strongest international GT fields in recent years, and as part of the globally recognised Intercontinental GT Challenge, the result marks one of MPC’s most competitive endurance performances to date.
A World-Class Line-Up
The #55 Jamec Racing / Team MPC Audi R8 LMS Evo II was piloted by an elite driver combination:
Will Brown
Christopher Haase
Brad Schumacher
From the opening practice sessions, the car showed strong pace, recording highly competitive lap times in the 2:03 range and consistently running among the quickest cars on track.
Surviving 12 Hours at Mount Panorama
The 2026 edition proved to be one of the most dramatic in recent memory. Multiple safety car interventions, a red flag period following heavy on-track incidents, and constant traffic management challenges tested every team’s composure and strategy.
Through it all, the MPC crew executed with precision.
Clean driver stints, disciplined tyre management, and efficient pit stops ensured the #55 Audi remained firmly in contention throughout the race. In endurance racing, outright pace is only one part of the equation – reliability, strategy and consistency are what deliver results.
As the final hour unfolded, MPC was locked in a fierce battle inside the top five, running on the same lap as the race leaders.
Just Seconds From the Podium
After 262 laps of Mount Panorama, the full race distance, the #55 Jamec Racing / Team MPC Audi crossed the line 4th overall, only seconds shy of a podium finish.
Importantly, the car completed the full 262-lap distance on the lead lap, underlining the competitiveness and durability of the package across the full 12-hour contest. The result also marked the highest-placed Audi entry in the field.
MPC-supported entries also completed the race, reinforcing the depth and strength of the overall programme.
The Strength Behind the Result
While the drivers delivered on track, the performance was equally built on the work behind pit wall.
From pre-event preparation and setup refinement, to flawless pit execution and real-time strategy calls during race interruptions, the MPC crew demonstrated the professionalism and technical depth that defines the programme.
Endurance racing at this level is a team sport in its purest form, and the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour was a clear demonstration of MPC’s capability to compete at the highest international standard.
A Statement Performance
To finish 4th overall in one of the world’s toughest GT endurance races sends a strong message: MPC belongs at the front of the field.
The team leaves Mount Panorama with momentum, confidence and a performance that reinforces its position among Australia’s leading GT operations.
